Sin embargo, el transporte de veh\u00edculos y material era un problema importante, ya que se necesitaban pistas de aterrizaje o paraca\u00eddas para hacerlo. Fue entonces cuando el ingeniero Raoul Hafner fue contratado por el Ministerio del Aire brit\u00e1nico para desarrollar una soluci\u00f3n. El resultado fue el Rotachute, un planeador monoplaza con un rotor de autogiro para frenar la ca\u00edda gracias a las corrientes de aire.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>EL JEEP DE LOS AIRES<\/h3>\n<p>Para lograr su objetivo, Hafner se inspir\u00f3 en el autogiro creado por el ingeniero espa\u00f1ol Juan de la Cierva. Tom\u00f3 como base el polivalente Jeep Willys Truck 4&#215;4 y le a\u00f1adi\u00f3 un rotor de dos aspas de 14,22 metros de di\u00e1metro y un tim\u00f3n de cola y dos estabilizadores parecidos a los de un avi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n se colocaron puertas hechas con material acr\u00edlico ligero a ambos lados del puesto del piloto\/conductor. El Rotabuggy estaba pintado con los tonos de camuflaje y la escarapela de la Royal Air Force y llevaba la \u00abP\u00bb que distingu\u00eda a los prototipos de la fuerza a\u00e9rea brit\u00e1nica. Pesaba 1.411 Kg, 948 Kg correspond\u00edan al Jeep y los dem\u00e1s 249 Kg al rotor y al fuselaje.
